the welding & pipefitting program at 2022世界杯足球比赛时间表 (dtc) gives you hands-on experience in both skill sets, so that you can choose from a variety of career paths in the manufacturing, construction, maintenance or related industries. welders and pipefitters often work side-by-side, and you will learn the techniques and processes required for each position. the welding & pipefitting program can be completed in less than a year, empowering you to begin a new career in less time than a traditional 2-year or 4-year college—and no general education classes are required at dtc!

the instructors at 2022世界杯足球比赛时间表 ’s school of welding all have real-world experience in the industry. they bring their expertise to the weld shop to provide you hands-on instruction and individual assistance.
the welding & pipefitting program will teach you the following:
- properties of metal
- cutting techniques of metal
- production welding techniques
- safety training/cranes/rigging
- metallurgy/vocabulary
- basic math/basic fitting principles
- basic pipe fitting
- advanced pipe fitting
the basic pipe fitting and advanced pipe fitting modules are unique to the welding & pipefitting program. they are designed to provide you an additional 10 weeks of pipefitting training to prepare you for entry-level employment as a pipefitter.

- learn proper rigging & pipe hanger install
- pull measurements for pipe runs
- read iso drawings
- measure/fabricate 45-degree offsets
- introduction to t’s and takeoffs
- increase difficulty of pipe runs
- fabricate 30 & 60-degree offsets
- find unknown angles
advanced pipe fitting
- fabricate/weld saddles
- run pipe a to b economically
- learn more difficult iso’s
- explain rolling offsets
- fabricate odd-angled fittings
- execute multiple pipe runs/various angles
- review all pipe applications
you will also learn the following welding techniques throughout the first 30-weeks of the program:
- shielded metal arc welding (smaw)
- gas tungsten arc gas welding (gtaw/tig)
- gas metal arc welding (gmaw/mig)
- flux core arc welding (fcaw)
in addition to learning and practicing various welding and pipefitting techniques, you will earn dtc welding certifications that help employers validate your welding and pipefitting skills and potentially increase your employability.
